Meditation Two – Reset, Restart and Revitalize.
Before starting the energy meditation please make sure you have read through the Magic Midday Meditation page so that you have the background.
BASIC ENERGY MEDITATION
Find a comfortable spot in the FULL SUN and sit normally. Face the sun and close your eyes. Uncross your legs. Paste a smile on the dial. Put both your hands gently on your lap. Take your shoes off and make sure your bare feet have contact with the ground. Preference is given to soil or grass, but stone will do. Let your tongue rest in the cavity of your pallet behind your teeth.
Start breathing in and out smoothly and slowly through your nostrils. When you inhale, visualize pulling the air all the way up from the ground through your feet and filling your body. Like a tree would use roots to draw up water from the soil. Create a pattern and do it a couple of times until it becomes automatic and you do not have to think about it. This is to help get your mind and your body into coherence.
Now deliberately think about the following. Think that you suddenly have no memory. You have no past. You cannot remember anything as if nothing has happened to remember. The past does not exist. You have just appeared and you suddenly exist right now. Now is real. Now is what you can prove. Your mind is blank except for the first impressions of what is going on around you right now, and your breathing which is now slow and rhythmic from the ground up.
GETTING INTO THE MOMENT
Use your senses. What can you hear? What can you taste? How do you feel? What does the surface against what you are sitting on feel against your legs? Can you hear birds? traffic? people? insects? Do you hear yourself breathing? concentrate on one of the sounds.
Allow yourself to feel immense gratitude that you can hear. Be grateful that you can enjoy this, as many cannot. Likewise with your sight, if you are meditating with your eyes open, can you enjoy the colours on the butterfly that just flew past? or the smile of the person that walked by? How grateful and lucky you are that you have been blessed with sight.
Are your eyes closed? What colour is the inside of your eyelids? Does it change? Imagine what the bird that you hear singing, would look like if you were blind and had never seen a bird, or what the car driving past would look like.
Feel the sun on your body. All those particles of energy bouncing on, into and off your skin. The energy that your body absorbs from the sun is energizing you. The air that you are breathing is nourishing you. Enjoy your existence for what it is in the exact moment with no thoughts of the future or past.
Stop when you have had enough. If you see that your skin is beginning to get a bit pink from the sun, or is feeling too hot then you should stop. Depending on where you are in the world, do not go longer than 20 minutes. Observe how you feel and if there is anything different about you and your surroundings.
OPTIONAL ENERGY ADD-ONS
Add all or some of the following to the above to enhance the results and leave you feeling even more energized:
HANDS
Take your right hand and move your thumb through the left-hand little finger and ring finger. See photo. Place the thumb on your left-hand palm. Now join your left-hand thumb with your left-hand ring finger over your right thumb. Hold your hands in this position for several minutes.

BALANCE
Balance your left and right brain by visualizing a royal blue circle in the middle of your forehead with a blue dot in the centre of the circle. Stick it there mentally. Now play with the dot until it is exactly centre of the circle. This balance of your left and right brain will help provide harmony and grounding.

BREATH-WORK
When you breathe in, visualize the air that you are breathing in a medium green colour. This colour will energize your blood and also has healing benefits as it fills your body.
FINISHING OFF WITH A FINAL ENERGY BOOST
Place your hands on your knees. Move your fingers down the centre of your knee (about 4 fingers down) until you feel a bump. Now move to the outside of your knee where you will feel an indentation. Take your finger and apply pressure here for a few minutes. This pressure point gives you a tremendous boost of energy and is a wonderful way to complete this meditation.
