Meditation One – Soothe the Stress
Please make sure you have read through the Magic Midday Meditation page so that you have the background before starting.
BASIC MEDITATION
Find a comfortable spot in the FULL SUN and sit normally. Face the sun and close your eyes. Uncross your legs. Paste a smile on the dial. Put both your hands gently on your lap. Take your shoes off and make sure your bare feet have contact with the ground. Preference is given to soil or grass, but stone will do. Let your tongue rest in the cavity of your pallet behind your teeth.
Pull your attention down to your chest area. Imagine that your chest has two nostrils and you are going to breathe in and out deeply through them (using your actual nose nostrils). When you inhale, pull the air down towards your belly button for the count of 6. Exhale through your nose for the count of 6. Only think of what has irritated you when you exhale, not when you inhale.
Once you are feeling more relaxed you can sit and enjoy your slow chest breathing and the sun. You can at this point also add-in components that you think you might enjoy from the Revitalize meditation and continue.
Stop when you have had enough. If you see that your skin is beginning to get a bit pink from the sun, or is feeling too hot then you should stop. Depending on where you are in the world, do not go longer than 20 minutes. Observe how you feel and if there is anything different about you and your surroundings.
OPTIONAL ADD-ONS
Add all or some of the following to the above to enhance the results and leave you with less stress:
HANDS
Put your hands in a church steeple position on your lap while you are doing the meditation. Clasp your fingers of your hands together. Put your pointing fingers together, and cross your thumbs in the front making the church door.

By putting your hands in this exact position, you can aid in the removal of negative energy. It will also assist you in attracting fresh positive energy. It is very useful to help you de-stress and detoxify. You will find that you can easily release frustration and irritation. Your thoughts will become more optimistic. Holding your hands like this has been known to aid in taking away all the unfair moments from your life.
BALANCE
Balance your left and right brain by visualizing a royal blue scale, the old fashioned type that you used to have to put weights on until both sides balanced. Observe the left and right side of the scale moving up and down until both ends centre nicely opposite each other horizontally and stop. This balance of your left and right hemisphere will help your emotional side which makes you feel stress and your logical side which adds reason, relax and stabilize.

BREATHWORK
Now say to yourself for the length of a full breath in, (mentally or out loud, depending on where you are sitting) the following: I love you. Thank you.
As you exhale say the following during the full exhale: I am sorry. Please forgive me. You are slowing your breath down to fit in the two phrases in, and out.
Those words are based on Ho’oponopono. They are very powerful and bring you into a state of forgiveness and love. You are the centre of your universe, so everything that happens to you is from how you perceive it. By breathing out the words you are sorry, and you forgive, it is ultimately you, yourself that you are forgiving, and in turn loving when you breathe back in.
Mentally when you exhale and are saying the above phrases, concentrate on whatever has stressed you out during the morning, whether it is a person, traffic, work, bad nights sleep.
When you inhale, visualize the air like a pale pink mist and breathe the situation back in while saying the above phrases, and let it give you feedback of love and thanks. This will start to put you into a more productive zone and you will also feel a lot better.
FINISHING OFF STRESS FREE
Find the middle point between your eyebrows and using one of your fingers, apply firm pressure and move first clockwise for about 30 seconds, then anti-clockwise for 30 seconds, and lastly finish off by moving the pressure up and down for around 2 to 3cm. This is a well-known acupuncture pressure point called the Yin Tang and is very beneficial in removing tension and anxiety.
